AAPI President Dr. Naresh Parikh initiated this ambitious 10-City Mega tor of the famous Bollywood Singer, Sukhwinder Singh. He was supported by the National Convener, Dr. Narendra Kumar and Dr. Hemant Dhingra among other local city conveners. The Atlanta date for the aptly “Jai Ho Concert” was on May 11th, 2019. The local conveners were Dr. Asha Parikh and Dr. Raghu Lolabattu. They were supported by the GAPI (Georgia Association of Physicians of Indian Origin) Executive Committee and Board of Directors. A souvenir was also launched with the generous contribution for members and local businesses raising significant amount under Dr. Hemant Yagnick, Souvenir Committee Chair.

The actual concert was well attended by more than a thousand people and received well. A local dance group was the warm-up act for the evening. This was followed by Amruta Fadwanis who sang a few of the crowd-pleasing songs from past and current movies. Later in the evening, Sukhwinder Singh belted out his many famous tunes from Bollywood and National movies. He was ably supported by another female singer throughout the musical evening.
