This was the second meeting of this year for GAPI under Dr. Chandana Prabhudev’s leadership. It was in Augusta, GA on Oct. 17th, 2020. This was again an outdoor event on the beautiful pavilion on the banks of Savannah River Lock and Dam. Strict protocol for social distancing and temperature checks for the guests adhered. GAPI President-Elect, Dr. Tarak Patel was the Convener for the meeting in Augusta. Supported by Ex-President Dr. Vijay Maurya, Dr. Hemant Yagnick, BOD Dr. Vishal Sharma, and Varsha Kulkarni it was a very well attended meeting. Dr. Shyamala Erramilli, Dr. Lalitha Medepalli for Executive Committee attended as well. The Chief Guest was DA Contestant, Natalie Paine for Augusta. She laid out the judicial vision for locals. Dr. Darshak Karia, Chief of LVAD program in University Hospital did a talk on LVAD management and shared the success of his program over the last few years. Meeting adjourned after food and entertainment.
