The meeting was organized by GAPI Augusta chapter by Dr. Vijay Maurya, Dr. Hemant Yagnick & Dr. Tarak Patel. More than 75 physicians of Indian origin and their spouses attended the meeting.  The state leadership of GAPI, AAPI and MAG (Medical Association of Georgia) was represented at the meeting by Dr. Syamala Erramilli, Past President Piyush Patel, Jodi Lott, Commissioner, Columbia County, and Deputy Consul General Shailesh Lakhtakia.

Dr. Patel opened the meeting by welcoming all the attendees.  He reminded the audience of the important role of physicians from the Augusta region and their important role in establishing and growing the organization from its inception. Dr. Maurya, Dr. Eramilli and Dr. Kamath addressed the attendees as well. Dr. Syamala Eramilli, the current President updated the attendees about GAPI and its Mission, around the state of Georgia.  Following this Dr. Vishal Arora gave a presentation. Meeting concluded with Dinner and entertainment.
