Dear GAPI Members, I am deeply honored and humbled to address you as the President of theGeorgia Association of Physicians of Indian Heritage (GAPI) for 2026–2027.I would like to thank all previous and current leaders in GAPI, With their guidance GAPI has continued to grow and thrive, and today we are proud to have nearly1,200 members.During my tenure as President, my primary goal during my presidency is to :Bringing GAPI Closer to Our MembersGAPI belongs to all of us. I want every member to feel that GAPI is an organization where their voice is heard, their ideas are valued, and their participation can make a difference.I would like to encourage greater involvement of our members in GAPI activities and we will seek your suggestions on how we can make GAPI more useful, relevant, and meaningful to every physician.Your participation, ideas, and feedback will be essential to our success.Strengthening Regional EngagementWe will work to strengthen ourregional meetingswith greater participation, more interaction, and programs that are relevant to our physicians and their families.I encourage all GAPI members to actively participate in regional meetings as well as our annual convention. These gatherings are not only opportunities for professional education, but also occasions to develop friendships, exchange ideas, and strengthen the GAPI physician community.Medical Education and the Future of MedicineMedicine is changing rapidly, and GAPI must remain at the forefront of these changes.We will place greater emphasis oncontinuing medical education and emerging technologies, particularlyArtificial Intelligence and its applications in medical practice. Our goal is to help physicians understand these technologies, evaluate their benefits and limitations, and use them responsibly and effectively in patient care.GAPI should be a forum where physicians can learn from one another, discuss the changing healthcare environment, and participate in shaping the future of medicine.Supporting Our Physicians and Our ProfessionWe will continue our collaboration with theMedical Association of Georgia (MAG)and remain actively engaged in thepolitical action and healthcare policy process.Our goal is to advocate for policies that support physicians, reduce unnecessary administrative burdens, promote fair and sustainable healthcare practices, and ultimately help us providesafer, more efficient, and higher-quality care to our patients.When important healthcare issues are being discussed, it is essential that the physician’s voice be heard.Working Together as One GAPII congratulate all of our committee members and thank them for volunteering their time and expertise.TheGAPI Executive Committee will work closely with the Board of Trustees, Board of Directors, and MSRF leadershipto promote better communication, coordination, and collaboration across our organization.We will also strengthen our various committees and encourage more GAPI physicians to participate. We have tremendous talent within our organization, and I believe that bringing together our collective experience, ideas, and expertise will make GAPI stronger and more effective.Community ServiceGiving back to the community will remain an important pillar of GAPI.We will continue to support theGAPI Clinic, health camps, community outreach programs, and charitable organizationsthat work to improve the lives of those in need.Our success should not be measured only by the size of our organization, but also by the positive impact we make in the communities we serve.GAPI Leadership Team — 2026–2027I am pleased to introduce the GAPI leadership teams who will serve alongside me during the 2026–2027 term. Looking AheadI envision this coming year as a year ofgreater connection, greater participation, professional growth, service, and fellowship.I ask each of you to join me—not simply as members of GAPI, but as active participants in our organization.Please attend our regional meetings and annual events. Volunteer for committees. Share your ideas. Tell us what GAPI can do better.
